Espresso only · $650

Drinks

What you can make

All three models make the same espresso. For milk drinks, get the Duo or the Pro. They have a steam wand that heats and froths the milk.

What is inside

Why the espresso tastes better

Most home machines get three things wrong. Here is what we do instead.

The Nove Duo pulled apart: the top tray, the steel body, the boiler, the gauge, the basket, the portafilter and the drip tray

Brewing pressure: 9 bar
Most use 15 bar

Less bitter coffee

The same pressure café machines use. More than that makes espresso bitter.

Fits on a home counter

The same espresso a café makes, from a machine 20 to 32 cm wide.

Basket width: 58 mm
Most use 51 mm

A bigger basket, like cafés use

The coffee sits flatter, so the water runs through it evenly.

Warm-up: 40 s
Most use 10 min

Ready in 40 seconds

On the One. The Duo takes 45 seconds and the Pro 90.

Steel and walnut, no plastic

2 mm brushed steel panels and an oiled walnut handle that darkens where you hold it.

Same parts in every model

The One, the Duo and the Pro all brew at 9 bar and use the same 58 mm basket. Only the milk side changes.

We makeone espressomachine.Since 2019.

Hi, it's the two of us at Nove.

One of us ran a bar near Porta Palazzo. The other fixed its machines. The one we wanted did not exist, so we drew it on a till roll and built the first ten by hand.

Nove means nine. Espresso needs 9 bar of pressure. Less and the coffee tastes thin, more and it tastes bitter. Every machine we make holds nine, and the gauge on the front shows it.

The body is 2 mm steel and the handles are oiled walnut, so they darken where you hold them. The portafilter is 58 mm, the size cafés use.

A machine should outlast its warranty. Every part has a number, the panels come off with one screwdriver, and we keep parts in Turin for every machine we have sold.

From Turin, with nine bar.
